Photo usage terms
The photos you buy in our galleries are for personal use. Sponsors, brands, businesses or advertising need a commercial licence.

1. Copyright
All photographs published on ferreiraview.com and in the memories.seakrew.com galleries are works by Rui Pedro Arantes Ferreira (Ferreiraview), protected by Portuguese copyright law. Buying a photo grants a licence to use it, not ownership of the work or its copyright.
2. Personal use licence
Every purchase includes a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence that allows you to:
- post the photos on your personal social media;
- print them for your own use;
- share them with friends and family, for non-commercial purposes.

3. Commercial use
Any promotional, advertising or profit-making use is commercial and requires its own licence, including:
- posts for sponsors or brands, including those by sponsored athletes;
- websites, social media or materials of surf schools, surf camps, accommodation, shops or other businesses;
- advertising, catalogues, packaging or merchandise;
- editorial use in magazines, newspapers or digital media;
- resale, sublicensing or transfer to third parties.
4. How to get a commercial licence
Contact us before using the photo, on WhatsApp +351 930 537 789 or rui@ferreiraview.com, with the photo, the intended use and the period. Rates are set case by case.
5. Integrity of the work
You may not remove the watermark from photos you have not bought, or crop or alter photos to hide their authorship. Simple crops or filters for personal use are fine.
6. Commercial use without a licence
Commercial use without a licence, or beyond the agreed terms, obliges the user to pay, as a penalty clause, three times (3x) the commercial licence fee that would apply to that use. This does not exclude immediate removal of the content or any other rights under the law, including compensation for damages.
7. People in the photos
The galleries show people in public spaces. If you appear in a photo and would like it removed, contact us and we will take it down. See also the privacy policy.
8. Acceptance
By buying a photograph, the customer confirms they have read and accepted these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
